Blair Goodman, RN
I’ve had the honor of contributing to healthcare by providing nursing services across the continuum of care over the past 26 years. I started my career in Ontario working at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. I continued to develop my skills and knowledge in Dallas, Texas working with children battling cancer and other blood-borne diseases.
I returned to Canada in 1999 to the beautiful Okanagan within the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx Nation. I have significant experience in many areas, including Home and Community care, Palliative care, Long Term Care with a focus on seniors’ rehabilitation, and more recently as an Infection Control Practitioner. I have been fortunate to contribute to the Infection Prevention and Control team during a crucial time at our local hospitals and long-term care homes during the SARS-COV2 (COVID-19) pandemic. I understand healthcare, including the structure, programs, and pathways, which is crucial to achieving optimal care.
With over 20 years in the region, I have the leadership experience, relationships, and knowledge to actively support and navigate my patients and families through our healthcare system to get the best possible outcome for them.
In my spare time, I enjoy an active lifestyle with my wife, two boys, and dogs along with a passion for health and fitness.
