Missie McIntosh, BScN

I started my career 20 years ago as a maternity RN working with families. Throughout my career and life, I have been advocating for the medical and emotional needs of my patients, family members and friends. As a dual Citizen of Canada and the US, I have experienced advocating in both countries.

Navigating the healthcare system is overwhelming, especially when a life altering diagnosis is on the table. I am here to help you ask more in-depth questions in medical appointments, find and utilize the resources available to you, assist in care planning, provide emotional support, and take notes during the process so you don’t have to worry about remembering it all. I can work on behalf of families or individuals.

I also have in depth experience in the pediatric field, in particular with complex medical and special needs children. I have been navigating and advocating for my own daughter here in Alberta for the past 7+ years. It has taught me that the process is so much better when you’re supported by someone with experience.

I am honored to be your advocate and a source of support.
