Sandi Vandermark, BScN, RN

After 20 years of experience in various facets of healthcare in Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Yukon, Alberta and BC, I have been drawn to providing a voice for those who need it most. Throughout my homecare nursing experience, I often noted that people felt a gap in the system and that their needs were not being met. Communication is frequently misunderstood or confused by emotions due to stress, fatigue, or an overwhelming diagnosis. Quality care in an ever-demanding healthcare system can be a challenge. Following a change in health, people often do not know which way to turn next.

My passion lies in supporting people in trialing times with compassion and empathy. I have assisted many families and their loved ones in understanding their path moving forward and offered a supportive listening ear. Active listening can go a long way to help people navigate their illness, move into a direction of wellness and towards their best-case outcome. I look forward to assisting my community and provide a much-needed service to individuals.

I also am a trained Reiki Master Practitioner for over 10 years and have my practice, HeartsAglow that offers a unique approach to your allowing of wellness and alignment. My in home studio is due to open in spring 2022.

My family and I have transitioned a lot ourselves over the years and have moved ten times in eight years to different locations in Canada. This has been so rewarding and has taught me to be resilient and to embrace change. We are now fortunate to call Okotoks, Alberta home and on the days where I am not assisting you, you will find me spending time with my family and friends in this lovely community and province.
